About

Flowers & Folk

Flowers & Folk began many years ago as a small DIY and creative living blog.

At the time, it was simply a place to share projects, ideas, and the things I loved creating with my hands. What started as a creative outlet eventually became a quiet thread that followed me through different seasons of life—through a career in interior design, years working in tech, becoming a wife, and later, becoming a mother.

For a while, that creative part of me took a back seat.

Like so many women, I found myself pouring everything into work, responsibilities, and caring for others. Motherhood brought immeasurable joy, but it also brought questions I wasn't expecting. Somewhere between career milestones, diapers, deadlines, and daily routines, I began to wonder where the creative, curious version of myself had gone.

Not because she disappeared.

But because she had changed.

A Story of Becoming

The Season That Changed Everything

For over a decade, I built a career in design.

I studied Interior Design and spent years creating spaces, experiences, and systems for brands I admired. My work eventually led me into the tech world, where I managed large-scale creative programs and design operations.

I learned how to lead teams, solve problems, and bring ideas to life on a larger scale than I ever imagined.

And then, after years of building a successful career, I was laid off.

What initially felt like a loss slowly became an invitation.

An invitation to pause.

To reassess what success looked like.

To reconnect with the creative life I had quietly missed.

And to finally give myself permission to build something of my own.

Today, Flowers & Folk is evolving into something bigger than a blog.

It's becoming a lifestyle brand rooted in intentional living, creativity, motherhood, and the beauty of everyday life.

A place for women who are building beautiful lives—not perfect ones.

A place for women rediscovering themselves after major life transitions.

A place where creativity doesn't have to become a business to be valuable, but sometimes it can become one anyway.

Here you'll find products, ideas, stories, and inspiration inspired by the things I love most:

  • Creating a home that feels meaningful

  • Living beautifully in a small space

  • Motherhood and family life

  • DIY projects and handmade living

  • Vintage finds and collected treasures

  • Personal growth and reinvention

  • Finding joy in ordinary moments

What Flowers & Folk Is Becoming

From My Family to Yours

Today, I spend my days raising my daughter, creating, learning, and slowly building Flowers & Folk into the brand I've always dreamed it could become.

Not overnight.

Not perfectly.

But intentionally.

This season of life feels less like starting over and more like coming home to the person I've been becoming all along.

And I'm so glad you're here.

With love,
Cristina
